One Week // One Band: Theme Week Submissions

Disrupting regular service for a quick One Week // One Band PSA:

I was initially planning to leave the week starting December 26th vacant as a Christmas break because nobody should be tied to blogging lengthy musical pieces during the festive days. But why let a good week go to waste?

I wanted to toy around with the format a bit in the new year anyway, so I guess I might as well start early. The idea was to have ‘Theme Weeks’ every now and then that have a number of single-post contributors on any given topic (rather than a single writer on one band/artist.)

Since I don’t wanna burden you with another Best of ‘11 re-cap I thought maybe try a more generic topic to see the year out, so I settled on ‘Closing Time’ — anybody who wants to contribute writes a single post (in whatever form, from a hundred words to a thousand) on his favourite (album) closing track and sends it to me any time this month and I’ll collect and post them all in said week with attribution to you + your site.

I’ve mailed this to a couple of OWOB regulars/contributors but maybe you, dear Tumblr follower, might fancy a go as well? Feel free to get in touch! x
