Wishful Thinking

So earlier today I came back into my flat and heard Sunset Rubdown playing on the stereo and also some voices that indicated my flatmate had a couple of girls over. Being genuinely amazed by the unsuspected prospect of two of my favourite things together I entered the living room with an excited “Whoa, someone’s got great taste in music!” and in my mind the scene played out in the way of me seeing a beautiful girl sitting on the couch have her eyes widen and going “You know them!?? I’ve never met anyone who does!!” and we’d retreat into my room and spend hours discussing the greatness of Spencer Krug and the relative merits of Sunset Rubdown vs. Wolf Parade until she’d say with a wink “Let’s just stop talking for a while” and we’d fall in love and get married etc etc, but that train of thought got interrupted by my flatmate going “Oh sorry man, I borrowed your iPod, if that’s okay? We just put it on shuffle to have some music playing in the background. By the way, these are some friends from university.”
